Tom Yum Shrimp

Tom Yum Shrimp

Who doesn't love fresh, crispy, fried shrimp? We sure all do here at Chick N' Skin. So, we came up with a wonderful way to use our favorite spicy Chick N' Skin, Tom Yum flavor, with fresh shrimp. Here's our Tom Yum Shrimp Recipe:

Ingredients
1 pound raw shrimp - peeled and deveined with tails
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1 to 1 1/2 cups crushed Tom Yum Chick N' Skin
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
Your chosen oil for frying

Cook wear needed
3 shallow dishes for battering shrimp
Deep fryer or frying pan
Large plate or cookie sheet lined with paper towels

Recipe
In 1 shallow dish, place the flour. In 1 shallow dish, place the beaten eggs. In the last shallow dish, place the Tom Yum Chick N' Skin crushed pieces. Set your oil to 350 degrees before you start coating shrimp. YOu want to fry the shrimp in small batches, about 4-6 each time, depending on the size of the shrimp you chose. To batter the shrimp, make sure that they are clear of excess water. You can pat them with a paper towel if needed to remove excess water.

First, dip each piece of shrimp in the flour, then the eggs, then in the Tom Yum dish. Place the breaded shrimp into the heated oil. The shrimp will cook very fast, so be careful to watch them. Once they turn a golden brown, you want to remove them from the oil and place them on the plate or cookie sheet lined with paper towels. The paper towels will soak up any excess oil. Continue the process of dipping and frying the shrimp until you are finished.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or alone.

Enjoy!
